Placebook Scotland  aims to achieve overall compliance with the Web Accessibility Initiative's (WAI) guidelines (links to an external site), for priority 2 (AA) and aims to conform to the World Wide Web (W3C) (links to an external site) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1 (WCAG1) (links to an external site) level 2 (AA).

Text Size

This site has been tested with the following browsers IE 7 , Mozilla/6.0 and 16, WebbIE 3.0, Safari, Google Chrome, Opera 12.

Screen readers

Placebook Scotland  has also been tested with the following screen readers: Sensory Thunder version 2.0.21 and NVDA 2011.2.  It is recommended to use IE, FireFox, WebbIE or Safari when using either of these screens readers.

Images

The images on Placebook Scotland all contain a short alternative text which descibes the image or it's function as appropriate along with attributation.
